For Parents: Staying Safe
It is everyone’s responsibility to safeguard children.
If you are an adult and you are concerned about anything you witness in school, or the treatment of a child outside of school, you can do one of these things:
- Report it to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads (Mr Hudson, Mrs Alexandrou, Mrs Bowkley, Mrs Ioakim, Miss Charles, Mrs J Organ) by phoning the school on 020 8363 1403 or emailing safeguarding@merryhills.org.uk
- Contact Enfield's social services:
020 8379 5555 - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
020 8379 1000 - Out of hours and at weekends, contact the emergency duty team
- You can email at childrensmash@enfield.gov.uk
- In an emergency, such as when someone is hurt or shut out of their home, please ring the police on 999
- You can also visit Childline or call them on 0800 1111
If you, or the person you are concerned about is over 18, you can do one of these things:
- Call anonymously on the Adult Abuse Line: 020 8379 5212
- In an emergency, always call 999.
- Call Enfield's Domestic Abuse freephone helpline on 0800 923 9009
