Values

Merryhills is a values education based school. A value is a principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. We initially achieved our Values-Based accreditation in 2013, we then achieved the Enhanced Values Certification in 2019.

Our 12 values are:

• Collaboration, Courage, Creativity, Curiosity, Equality, Inclusivity, Integrity, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience, Respect and Responsibility.

We promote our values, focusing on a different one each half term. Our values are reinforced in assemblies, in all aspects of school life and are taught throughout the curriculum. They are fully embedded within our curriculum and are at the heart of everything we do.
