At Merryhills we communicate with parents/carers in a variety of ways.
We have a newsletter which goes out every 3/4 weeks. The newsletter incorporates ‘Dates for your Diary’. This is a list of ‘whats on’ at Merryhills throughout the term. Any new events are added accordingly.
All correspondence is sent to you by email. Please ensure the school office has your current email address.
If your child’s class is taking part in a school trip/event, an information letter will be sent to you by e mail giving details of the venue, cost, arrangements for the day etc. Parental consent must be given for school trips. Please ensure you follow the instructions on your letter regarding how consent should be given. Your child will not be able to participate without your permission and will remain in school.
If we have any changes to the days events ie an after school club has to be cancelled or school closed due to snow, we will send a text message as early as possible.
If your child bumps their head and it is not serious, a text will be sent to you for information only. You do not need to ring the school. If the injury is more serious you will be contacted immediately. We will also contact you by telephone if your child becomes unwell during the day or they injure themselves.
